Curriculum - ELA

In English Language Arts (ELA), Mr. Jablonowski is working with the students on an intensive skills-based unit which focuses on listening skills, multiple choice
test-taking skills (using Inference skills to determine what an author means without saying it), Graphic Organizer uses and skills, short-answer response writing, and long-answer response writing. The students recently completed a short-story unit, culminating in the completion of original short stories, and in the coming year we will be doing novel units, poetry units and drama units, all complying with the New York State ELA Learning Standards.
