On Friday September 29, 2005 the Press and
Sun-Bulletin ran a front page article stating
"The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) is
out of food." We ask for you to donate as soon as
possible to help support our local community. This food does not get shipped out
of the area. It stays here to help our friends, neighbors and the needy.
Over the past three school years, the Our Lady of
Sorrows community has donated 4000 items. The Food Pantry is now serving triple
the number of families than it did this time last year.
Any kind of non-perishable food is needed, but particularly
basic meal items. The following is a list of most needed.
Any Canned Goods
Cereal (for both adults
and children)
Beef Stew
Canned Fruit and
Vegetables
Rice
Pasta
Peanut Butter
Cake, Brownie and Muffin
Mixes
Cookies and Crackers
Please add an extra Food Pantry item to your
shopping list each week and place them in the purple bin in the Main School
Lobby. Any questions please contact Ann DiTommaso at
olspto@yahoo.com.
